Punk / Rock

This album by Chicago’s Destroy Everything’ is due for release this Spring. All tracks on this release are energetically-charged, rocking songs.

Favorites: ‘Personal Strike’ has a brawny and motivating message and ‘Dickhead’ offers extremely amusing lyrics that are pretty much right on target. ‘Alter or Abolish’ is so damn catchy and solid! Should be a single. ‘Untitled (Un-Subtitled)’ is blip on this CD, being just 1 minute and 19 seconds long, but a real gem.

Other highlights are: ‘The Kids Are All Liars’, ‘Traditional Performance’, ‘(In The Fat Of The) Curve’, and ‘The Bitter End’ - although this one is not recommended for the extremely depressed.

Now, I just couldn’t get past the near-opening words, “cunt sniffer” on ‘No Punk Intended’. Call me uptight, no worries. ‘Fast Food’ makes a good point but nearly made me upchuck my lunch. Here’s just one line from it, “Surly dwarfs with rotten teeth, flabby trolls with sagging treats, take my money for a greasy pouch.”

Worth your hard-earned moolah. To be released April 1, 2008 (Tent City Records).
